Who is AWI?

I discovered my passion for photography when touring Europe as a violinist in my early teens. Following years of performances and hours of practice as a professional violinist my passion for photography continued to simmer away.

Macro was the initial genre of photography that sparked my interest, however the past few years has seen my eye focus on the greater landscape. 35 years as a classical musician has certainly instilled in me the patience and pursuit of excellence required to create fine art images. Western Australia has a valuable community of inspiring photographers as well as a blogging community led by Christian Fletcher, who recently took out the Australian Landscape Photographer of the year 2011.

This site is purely an avenue for myself to share my creations and invite others to experience what I see.
