Well this was a first for me. Late last night I joined Leigh Diprose and Paul Pichugin and we headed out in search of the Asteroid 2012da14. Im not sure I captured it however it was an amazing sight just looking up at the milkyway and seeing the occasional shooting star. The night sky was incredibly clear until about 3.30am when we called it a night. Canon 1DX 17-40mmÂ

Is that it in the bottom LH corner ?
im not sure but when I look at the metadata I shot this image at the time the Asteroid passed but I think Paul’s got a far better example
yeah, you just got the edge of it. You couldn’t see it with the naked eye, it wasn’t as bright as the stars around it. Shot looks great though Adrian!
Cheers SHawn, Back out there again tonight, out to York, looking to find some old silos should be good, bit of cloud around too
great stuff!
Cheers Derrick, nice to hear from you my friend
