Out to sea with the Fuji X100

Captured this image this morning on our way out to the south west bank. It is near on 40 Km out to sea from Mandurah WA. It was some of the finest water conditions I have ever experienced and the fishing in 50M of water is quite productive. Captured on the Fuji X100 f/8 ISO 100 AWImages©

The chase comes to a close

This image was taken late the other night in an open paddock we found out past Goomaling. The storm cell had some amazing colours beaming off it from the setting sun but as soon as that had dipped below the horizon the nights sky was filled with a light show. It moved out over Meriden very quickly. I was luck to get this shot. Not the perfect image with horrible noise but here it is Enjoy. Cheers to Paul Pichugin for another great night out shooting. Avon Valley Western Australia

Following on from the previous post the conditions from the storm where extremely different. The City was being smashed by heavy rain and lightning while the hills east of Perth where warm with high humidity but provided the perfect view of the storm cell causing all the havoc. Paul Pichugin and I have been covering many km’s over the past few days and it has certainly been well worth the effort, lack of sleep and reconnaissance for future photog road trips. This is a 7 image stitch from the side of the road heading out of the Avon Valley towards Northam. Canon 24mm f/8 ISO 100 AWIMages©

The Boat Shed, Crawly Western Australia

During the past few days we have had some exceptional storm clouds rolling in over Western Australia. Before heading out East with Paul Pichugin I quickly headed for the swan river and found myself feeling like I was in the eye of the storm. Looking for a  different perspective of an iconic shed that would have been photographed a million times and with the drama above and behind this would have to be one of my favourites that I have personally taken over the years. Fuji X100 in Paris

Well after trekking around Italy with my canon DSLR and full kit on my back I was not inclined to carry it up the Eiffel tower in Paris. It was time to take the Fuji x100 for a walk. This image was captured on our way down to the Seine to sail back up towards Notre Dame Cathedral, close to where we were staying. We walked all the way to the top in the pouring rain but then as I turned around to see the tower for one more time the sun came beaming through the clouds. Time for one shot and this is it, not bad really considering the intense glare giving the image that blown highlight. It did however provide light in the shadows and the under side of the tree canopy and this is the last view of the iconic man made structure that I remember. Fuji X100 AWImages ©

Morning Glow Roleystone

Another image from Sunday morning, epic early rise and drive into the hills east of Perth. It didn’t turn on the colour but there was an intense glow. Just enough cloud to create interest. Cheers again to Leigh Diprose and Paul Pichugin and I have also added a new blogger in the name of Shawn Hayward. Get over and check out his work cheers Adrian AWImages Canon 16-35 USM II Lee Big Stopper ND©

The Photogs Club House

It was an early start this morning. Picked up Paul Pichugin at 3.45AM and headed up the hills to Leigh Diprose’s house out amongst the gum trees in Roleystone. A great morning shooting the rapids flowing through his backyard. Big thank you to Leigh and Shawn Hayward for the 5 star breakfast. Enjoy cheers Adrian

The Great Southern, Western Australia

This image was captured on a recent drive down to Denmark. The region is host to many wonderful landscapes, wildlife, exceptional fishing and fine wines. Click for larger version and drop in a comment if you like. Enjoy ! AWI Images ©
